They are of great importance when accuracy is not important.
They are good for what I use them for but I'm pretty sure the accuracy can vary slightly. Not much I would say, a score or 2 +/-. I don't really care, I only use them in my curing jars, so I'm more interested in changes over time, so exact accuracy isn't a big deal.
