The description says you can minimize an 18" wide curtain. 37 inches minus 18 inches would of course be 19 inches. There is no minimum width listed in the product details, so we decided if it would fit our 21" windows. That's not true, the screen can only be trimmed to 22.25" female. Just a waste of time. The adjustable width is for 22.25" to 37" window for the curtain we opened. The quality is quite low. We've added photos to show that the return spring doesn't fully raise the blinds. In fact, with a better spool, we found the lampshade was still dangling 9". The vinyl is also very thin and care must be taken when removing it There are no wrinkles when rolling up the lampshade.Also the vinyl will flex/twist when extended when hanging in the window.I had to use a metal blade on a saw to cut a thin piece of aluminum off to the desired length so we could hang the blinds that we had already opened. high. The stem is very thin and after cutting it we had to straighten the round hole to fit the end cap. Thank goodness we only opened one so we could send the other 3 back. I know they are $10 but we have other vintage shades in our house, they roll up really nice and tight and are at least 20 years old. We have to spend a little more money to get a quality option for our windows. We just thought about how easy it is to make these shades so we could find a quality option at a great price. We were wrong.
