Ideal for additional USB components.

I use this item for my desktop. This means I don't have to plug and unplug the headset. If I want to use a headset and mic, I just toggle that port on with a toggle switch. I've also connected other things to it that are random items. Very helpful. Less than I expected, but it works for me too.
