To be honest I never really thought about how strong duct tape is until we had it in our house. We used to have duct tape, but as we got ready for the holiday season we started packing and wrapping a lot more and some of the larger toys require a lot more careful holding than regular duct tape. I can't tell you how much better or worse this performs than the other options, but that's about the width we need for the drawers we have. As we put wrapping paper on the boxes we didn't mind that it's just a standard grey. We strongly recommend always having duct tape at home!
