What is this magic?

Is this the best tape? Would I have picked this as the only item I got when I landed on a desert island? Now, I can't confirm its ability to hold rafts together or protect you from the elements since I haven't put my tape through those specific tests, but it holds boxes together pretty well.

Exceptional tape is not the best buy

Duck tape works better than cheaper and discount brands. It adheres well under ideal conditions. But as expected, it doesn't hold up well in wet and cold weather. However, for 10 yards it's a bit overpriced compared to similarly priced retail brands with larger footage. So you have a lot of use for what people are doing with duct tape, but not in the long run.

Fake? on tape

I've been using Duck brand tape on a weekly basis for various crafts for a number of years and the tape is much thinner and doesn't stick. It tightens on its own a few hours after being applied to an object. I do NOT recommend this tape. Considering others have written about this and are having the same issues as me, I believe this is a cheap imitation and worth spending a few extra bucks for an actual duck tape elsewhere. Adhesive tape should never come loose for no reason!

Thinner than my previous roll (different brand - store bought)

I don't use a lot of tape so the roll lasted a long time. I don't remember the brand or where I got it from. When it finally ran out, I just ordered a roll of this Duck Brand Tape. upset. It's thinner, and when I pulled it out of the canal (yes, I literally used it for the canal) it broke into threads. My old tape remained intact. Maybe next time I go to the store I'll buy a different reel, maybe a gorilla. This material will be of limited use to me.

This is duck tape in tape

This is duck tape. It automatically gets 5 stars. Every other review that gives less than 5 stars may have tried sticking liquids together and got frustrated and gave it less than 5 stars and thought "well they said it was generic". Chairs if you want them to sit down so you can chat with them. If they are very talkative, you can use this to silence them as well. Don't want the man to run away, use duct tape! They must always touch something with their hands, use tape!

This air duct is no duck, but it works!

This is Scotch, not Duck Tape, but this brand remains my favorite. Better value than "original" 3M tape and basically just as good (although it's a bit harder to get a clean break and almost no noticeable difference in adhesion). For all your ducting or general purpose needs, this is a great choice (professional HVAC contractors can choose 3M). Note: Like all tapes, this one leaves a lot of residue, especially on plastic. Gaffers Tape is what you need for a residue-free stick, but it will cost…

SCAM, DON'T FOLLOW IT

Thinner, weaker imitation with little or no adhesion. There is nothing "original" about this product. It's not duct tape. I used it once on a plastic trash can. in the trash and bought the real thing. I'm a bit dyslexic and didn't read the "K" as "T" at the end. The product description is clearly barely legal but deceptive enough to fool people. I threw it away because it doesn't stick well enough to be useful for anything.

There's no such thing as duct tape

To be honest I never really thought about how strong duct tape is until we had it in our house. We used to have duct tape, but as we got ready for the holiday season we started packing and wrapping a lot more and some of the larger toys require a lot more careful holding than regular duct tape. I can't tell you how much better or worse this performs than the other options, but that's about the width we need for the drawers we have. As we put wrapping paper on the boxes we didn't mind that it's…

I bought this because I used up duct tape I bought elsewhere and thought I might need more one day. When I needed more, in an emergency for (literally) Christmas, when I needed a way to temporarily hold a building's structure together until I could find a professional to fix it, this is unlikely to happen before January 2nd , but I can. In order not to even call before business hours the day after Christmas, I opened the package and tried to use it. But it did not work. Adhesive tape has a…
