Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Enhanced 180-Degree Panoramic Welding Helmet Lens for Superior Protective Splatter Shielding - Externally and Internally by Russ Mashlan

wow look Best head protection

Okay this is going to take a minute as I hate short "great helmet" reviews that don't say you have to crouch. This is Panoram "B" (there is an "A" version (more money and not much difference) not offered by Revain or Tool Guy Republic). The helm has a huge viewing platform, not counting the sides. It's clean and bright under all DIN conditions, a slight bluish tint when welding (perhaps due to my welding arc) that brings out the peaks and valleys (rather than the green tint that most filters have, which appears almost two-dimensional). By the way, only the front filter is dimmable under the DIN you have chosen. Side filters are dimmed to DIN 10 ("A" - 11) and cannot be adjusted. A panoramic view (for me) helps me tune in before welding and finding my place in the universe. It doesn't help me with welding as the view through the front filter is much larger than I'm used to and more than enough to see what's coming and where I'm going. Also, I've never done flash welding. You can see MUCH better with this helmet, so your welds will come out a lot better. The controls don't appear to be affected by weld spatter/residue, but that might just be me and my welding style. The headpiece is ok - comfortable and very adjustable, but not very good quality. If you use a helmet frequently, you will likely need to replace it at some point due to wear and tear or breakage. That's why I don't give five stars. The controls and switches are pretty easy to adjust with gloves on BUT I'm not working with my $200 welding helmet, I have a $20 visor. There are better and worse helmets out there, but you get what you pay for. It just depends on how much you want to spend. FYI, Revain has the same "brushed carbon fiber" helmet with a top cap for the controls. It's the exact same helmet as this one, but it's not THAT shiny. I would have bought it but found it after shipping. the appearance of the fiber (the helmet is actually durable nylon) has no scratches like a solid black can contact the surface and scratches - a nice unadvertised feature. The sensors are a little 1/8" into the helmet - wish they were flush. I haven't had any issues with this, it's just a personal wish. Hope this helps a little. Buy it now  your eyes/safety are worth it and you can see!
