Love the feel of these needles. Medium length tips. Not blunt and not sharp. sharper tip. This tip is good for beginners because it doesn't separate stitches with most yarns. My only issue is that the needles seem about 1/2 inch too long. The angle just isn't great at work. My other 16" or short sets have a slightly longer cord and slightly shorter needles to give a total length of 16". I'd say I'm used to it, but it's a different feeling. Hats are my favorite knitting item and I always work in circles, so I'm familiar with 16 inch needles. I hope this review helps others with their decision. I would still recommend her!
