Review on APEX Countertop Drinking Water Filter by Jess Chen

This year I've committed to making my diet more alkaline and eliminating plastic water bottles. I managed to do both with this great water filter. The water comes out crystal clear and tastes great!*** HUGE DESIGN FAILURE*** So after a few months I noticed that algae was starting to grow on the top of the filter. Needless to say I was concerned so I wrote to Apex Support and all they said was to move my filter away from all windows and clean the filter with vinegar. First, my sink is between two windows so it can't be moved by the sunlight. Second, how do you clean the filter with vinegar?!? So be careful when sunlight hits this filter you will get filtered seaweed water. I am really disappointed with this product and the company's customer service.
