Review on John Boos CHY-R02 Cherry Wood Cutting Board | 24" X 18" Reversible & Edge Grain by Evan Beougher

So Far, So Good! for my opinion

So far so good! I decided to go with this board despite some negative reviews and so far, I’m happy with it! It arrived very dry like I anticipated. So, i oiled it pretty generously and it soaked right up. Tomorrow, I’ll apply the cream. I haven’t actually cut on it yet. But, I’ll update this review accordingly.I’m a pretty firm believer that unless it’s defective in some way (in which case - return/exchange it) and as long as it’s cared for well, following Boos recommendations - this will be an excellent board.UPDATE: After a few months of use and care, I’m still very happy with this board! :) It shows cut marks, but I don’t mind that. After all, I did purchase it to cut things on it. ;) I applied the oil and cream often (about once a week) for the first month or so. Now, I apply it less often. I never let it sit in water. When I wash it, I use soap and water and dry it as much as possible then let it sit on it’s side to dry the rest of the way. Still a firm believer that if you care for it correctly, you shouldn’t have issues!
