I ordered this microscope on December 24th and received it on December 30th. It was well packaged and in good condition. I took my time before writing this review to give it a good shake. First of all, the metal stand is well constructed. The base is heavy enough to keep the camera stable while in use. It has large rubber feet that prevent it from moving during use. The adjustable stand works smoothly and the camera mount can hold the camera securely. The camera is made of plastic. Personally, I would have preferred the alloy construction, but overall the construction is well done. On one side it has a power switch that doubles as a trigger and a rotary dial to control the dimmer of the LED lights. On the other hand, it has an up/down button to control the digital zoom (only works over a WiFi connection). The manual zoom wheel occupies the bottom half of the camera and works smoothly. The picture quality is good and corresponds to the real 1080p resolution. The software provided may display higher resolutions, but the data is interpolated and does not represent true resolution. I tested the camera with a Windows PC, a Chromebook, and an Android phone. The Android phone was the only device that worked with the camera's Wi-Fi capability. I've found that there is some data lag during use due to the Wi-Fi connection, making it unsuitable for capturing video, but works great for basic zoom and stills photography. The best option for me is to use a USB connected camera plugged into a PC or Chromebook as I mainly use it for soldering and surface mount testing. So for me the WLAN function brings little benefit. The software that you can download for PC is simple but functional. I like the Android version better because of the digital zoom function. Overall I'd say it's a good buy for the price and offers features from more expensive cameras.
