Review on 🔧 GM Genuine Parts Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter Kit 24208576, complete with Gasket and Seal by Roberto Garrido

Perfect fit, exactly the same parts GM used to assemble the transmission. The old filter broke when I pulled it out so I'm glad I changed it! I installed this in the cockpit of a 2006 GMC Sierra. A few tips for this job from me, ASE:1 technique. If possible, use a vacuum pump to suck liquid out of the dipstick tube. This will save you from a possible big mess.2. Remove dirt and grime from around the pot before removing it. Brake cleaner is your friend here, I used 5 cans for this job.3. Remove or bend aside the shifter bracket. The pan will not come out until you do this. On my truck, the mount was held in place with 2 Torx.4 screws. Leave a screw in the pan until the pan pops off. Otherwise you will get a transsexual liquid bath.5. Take the time to THOROUGHLY clean the inside of the oil pan and the mating surfaces. Brake cleaner and paper towels work great.6. No sealant is required on the gasket or mating surfaces, at least not with the gasket in this kit.
