Review on Pair Of Multi-Color Dance Silk Veil Poi, 2.5X0.9M/98.43"X35.43" In Size, By KIKIGOAL by Matt Eason

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality tethers/ torn tails on first use

Just took these poi balls and tails out for the first time. After performing the basics, gaining an understanding of weight distribution, adjusting for light wind speed, etc. I went in for practicing a figure 8 with mild success. With practice, it became easier, but any mistake creates a tangle. Unfortunately, these tangles were the result of the silks snagging on the tether knots. They are cut & soldered/melted dow, but not nearly enough. They immediately created tears. The mini metal ball is connected by two metal coils & hoops. The silks easily get caught in the coils as well. This is definitely a tool for intermediate/ advanced poi dancers when only accounting for weight & length, but the construction of these instruments present performance challenges & damage the silks quickly.

Pros
  • The quality of the silk material ensures that the veils will last through multiple performances and routines
Cons
  • The product may be difficult to use when wearing gloves or jewelry
