Review on JBL Tune Flex Wireless Headphones, black ghost by Ognian Hristov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product suited me, I will recommend it to my friends.

Initially, I liked the JBL chip when you can make the headphones open and closed by changing the nozzles. Plus, I expected good active noise isolation (because there are JBL Live 460NC, and there active noise isolation is good, I would even say aggressive - when I turn it on, but I haven’t turned on the music yet, I feel “pressure on the brain”). Bought without trying. At first, I did not understand at all whether noise reduction worked or not. I was sitting in the car, the music was screaming there, and I also turned ANC on and off with the music in headphones - as if there was no effect at all, I was upset. I contacted the seller, he offered to return the headphones within seven days if they were not to their liking. Then I calmed down and decided to take a closer look at them. As a result, active noise cancellation works, especially well with monotonous noise, such as when flying in an airplane. The noise is somewhere behind, and the music is here, while the volume can not be raised more than half in order to hear the music well. If the noise changes, then the resulting loud sounds sound loudly in the ear. For example, I’m walking through the workshop, the machine is working monotonously, its noise is almost inaudible, and suddenly the compressor turns on and this noise from the compressor just starts to yell in my ears. Then the system catches it and also muffles it. The body is rough. The surface itself is rough. The joints of the body parts are clearly felt. Compared to Air Pods (not pro), they are much nicer to the touch and very comfortable in the ear. And they are just smaller. But in JBL there are more emitters themselves, and this is a huge plus. If there were no such rough joints on the case, it would be better. With open-type nozzles, I can’t wear these headphones, it just hurts. The most comfortable option for me is the sealing ear pads of the largest size. In this case, you do not have to "push" the earpiece, it is simply inserted and does not dig into the joints of the case. I liked everything about the sound. In my opinion, the best sound is obtained with seals and the external noise control function turned off. It has not yet been possible to completely discharge the headphones, they can withstand almost 6 hours without putting them into a case.

Pros
  • Sound, functionality, appearance, battery life.
Cons
  • The quality of the headphone case. There are sharp joints of parts from which the ears hurt.
