Review on Garmin GPSMAP 64x Handheld GPS with Preloaded TopoActive Maps in Black/Navy, One Size (010-02258-00) by Adam Ross

I read all the negative reviews and concluded that a wearable will work as all my marine products are Garmin work as advertised too. Even after reading about the need to work out a base map and to purchase additional hunting maps for places I go frequently ($90 each), I took a chance. I couldn't download the map I bought. After trying this from two different computers on two different networks, I contacted support. They sent me a troubleshooting link that wouldn't open. After following the support article and all the instructions (twice), I still couldn't download the detailed hunting map I wanted. I received a refund for an add-on card purchase, but I want to save on the device. A good old fashioned magnetic compass will do the trick with a lot less frustration!
