Wow! Well!

This is the fourth keyboard I've tried and studied a few dozen. I was so frustrated that I tried it and then returned the last two. I keep THAT! It's a bit more expensive than others, but not as much as many other premium keyboards. I like key switches. I have the blue key version. Perfect resistance and the right amount of clicks. What really shines is the backlight. Each button has its own LED and the controls are nice. The LEDs are bright and the keycaps are clear enough for the letters to be perfectly visible (I'm old and losing my eyesight). I like the static mode where each key is a different color. The writing on the keys is cool, looks great and different, but is still clearly visible. And the little extra touch of dimming the LED for a split second when pressed is awesome! The assembly is solid. He's just the right weight. The deck is plastic but strong, with a nice chromed metal edge on the outside. It feels solid enough that there should be a metal frame within the plastic. I like that the deck is slightly larger than the keys. I don't have much space on my keyboard. It's small enough to fit on a drawing and leave room for a mouse pad. My choices when buying keyboards were initially limited to 17.1 inch or smaller sizes and that is this one. Although this is a gaming keyboard I can't comment on it as I'm not a gamer. I am sure. It looks fantastic, so lends itself to a fancy setup. And there are many lighting options for gaming, turning on/off different key LEDs for different in-game keyboard layouts. I use it for web development and media editing. The keyboard is the center of my working day. It seems perfect. The highlight options and base font are ideal for dimly lit environments. This allows me to tweak the ideal settings for my use. After much research and many purchases, I can easily say that this is one of the best keyboards for the money. Pay less and it's cheap. And you have to pay a lot more to get better.

Pros
  • ❤ Brown Switches ▶ Custom mechanical switches designed for durability, responsiveness and reliability. Provide the best tactile typing experience. It's also a little quieter than the blue switches
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
