It is great!

This product has been hanging on my door for over a decade, I only had to replace it because I reupholstered and resized it, otherwise the old stuff could have been replaced. It is very strong and durable. The old materials came with nice white roofing nails which I used but now the nails supplied are galvanized and look bad so I didn't use them. I used the screws shown in the photo, bought from Menard, they work much better. The strip does not require door panel sealant, the pressure of the door will push it into the panel making a seal, the clips will only hold it in place so do not try to glue it to the panel as it will seal . absolutely not necessary. You'll need to reattach it so it presses lightly on the door to get a seal, but not too tight, or the door may get stuck and not close completely. The guide of the door itself must also be adjusted so that it follows the door opening exactly. A little careful tweaking gets it right. Look at the bottom door seal where it sits on the concrete and make sure it sits the same way it was before you installed the strips. If you see daylight where there was none before, then the bar pushes on the door. No need to trim corners, simply attach the ends of the top molding to the door skin and the ends of the side moldings to the top molding, use scissors to cut a contour on the ends of the side moldings to match the profile from above. stripes.
