Review on Inserter Powering Subscriber Amplifiers 5 1002MHz by Michael Santos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Before replacing the antenna amplifier or the antenna, check the power supply!

I've been gradually losing OTA reception over the course of several months and thought my amplifier had failed or my antenna had deteriorated in the five years I've owned it. I bought a simple continuity tester to test coax cables. All approved. Just in case, I checked the throughput of the power inserter. There is no successor. Well, I don't know enough about the electronics in the power supply to be sure it's bad, but I figured ten bucks for a new one was a lot cheaper than replacing an amp or antenna, so I gave it a try! All channels are working again, as if the antenna and amplifier were new.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • The list goes on.
