Review on Looen 12-Piece Tunisian Crochet Hooks Set: Versatile Sizes for Afghan and Rug Weaving Needles with Cable - 3.5mm to 12mm by Sasha Hsiao

Maybe for the right person.

So I'm new to Tunisian crochet and bought these for a specific project. I've just started using them so can't confirm their longevity but I can see where you would keep them of course where they connect to the cord (and I have small hands) which is probably too strenuous. this connection and may cause it to be broken. But my big problem with the kit is that the hook part isn't far enough forward to hold the yarn in place. If I had better tension maybe that wouldn't be a problem, but then again I'm a beginner. I've found that to really use them effectively, I have to flip the hook completely. Another problem is that the tip is too blunt to be easily inserted into the yarn. I end up having to use my fingers to help him get through. Plastic also takes some getting used to. All in all they aren't terrible and for the right person they can be great but I'll probably go ahead and buy a more expensive set considering I really enjoy Tunisian crochet and will continue to do other things.

Pros
  • FLEXIBLE AND DURABLE AFGHAN TUNISIAN HOOK. Tunisian Looen hooks are made of ABS plastic. The long transparent tube is very flexible for weaving blankets, rugs, rug hats. The part connecting the hook is very strong.
Cons
  • Some errors
