I just finished my first quilt with this batting. For this blanket I wanted a very warm Colorado Mountain blanket and I wanted it to have a vintage look. Old quilts didn't look puffy like some people would like them to. It's compressed cotton, a bit like a blanket within a blanket, just what I wanted. It turned out to be a really warm and cozy blanket with a small weight, which is what I wanted. The sewing went well. I don't have much experience with quilting, but my little machine seemed able to sew layers of quilts with ease. As others have said it can also be used for many other projects like oven mitts or table runners etc.
