Review on πŸ”ͺ Professional Flattening Whetstone for HMPLL Sharpening by Colin Arcos

This is a great starter kit.

This product has everything I need to get started. Of course, stones of medium and fine grit. It has a ruler stone, grey, and a synthetic nagura stone, small, white, along with a leather strap. It also has a handy silicone stone holder and a bamboo base with a non-slip coating on the bottom that elevates the stone for easy sharpening. .I had really low expectations considering the price. I paid more for my 1.5 x 6 three stone set and it wasn't easy to use with my larger knives. These stones are slightly larger than my others and I used them to sharpen a dull straight blade kitchen knife with shavings. in the blade. I'm trying out a new technique and I'm not quite good at it yet. Whatever it was, I was able to easily remove the shavings and get the bevel I wanted. I had to flatten 400g after that one knife, but I spent more time than usual with this knife. I used a pencil and drew a grid on the stone and smoothed it out. a few minutes before use and moistened while sharpening. To be honest if you want to learn how to sharpen this is a good kit, check out the online tutorials and you'll be sharpening your knives in no time. There's a learning curve, so don't give up!
