Updated rating: I have downgraded my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. I'm really unhappy that all the hooks are the wrong size. Next I looked at the 1.5mm hook from this set and my US size 7 1.65. 1.5 from this set is actually a little more than 1.65. I don't know how much more because I don't have an accurate measuring tool, but it shows in the way the 1.5mm threads #10 from this set grab. Anyway, I was disgusted and threw away all the hooks. Now I only use one case to hold all my Boye hooks. Original review: I have other hooks. My default hook brand is Boye. I have 2 US size 8 hooks marked 1.5mm. The 1.5mm hook from this set is significantly larger than the ones I have. The 1.9mm is also much larger than the US size 5 I have, marked 1.9mm. The aluminum hooks were also larger than their US-sized counterparts. The 1.5mm from this set seems to fit the US size 7 I have which is 1.65mm. This makes a *huge* difference when crocheting snowflakes with #10 yarn. I bought this set because I need a 1.7mm hook and this set has it. Unfortunately, if there is a single . I have no idea which one it could be. The dimensions just don't match reality, but the set didn't cost enough to warrant a return. I'll just wait until I have free $$ and order hooks individually to get the sizes I need.
