Hurry, everything works now

None of them work. One does nothing, the other receives but does not send an acknowledgment. I can connect one of the simple Makerfire 10pcs Arduino NRF24L01+ 2.4GHz Wireless RF Transceiver Module and it works, although the range sucks. It seems impossible to get a good radio with any range. Edit: I don't know why yet, but after lowering the output power the devices worked. I decided to go back to basics and start with setting the minimum power "radio.setPALevel(RF24_PA_MIN);". As soon as I did this for both radios, they started talking to each other. I was also able to walk to the back of the house and still get a usable signal. Maybe my 3.3V regulator can't handle pulsed loads, or maybe you shouldn't be using MAX. Most likely I have a problem with the power supply, additional tests are needed. I hope I can give those five stars later. Edit: Further investigation led me to believe that the 3.3V regulator I was using (MCP1700T-3302E/MB) was the problem for me. If I add a 470uF electrolytic capacitor I can run at maximum power. I then tried switching to an AA lithium battery and skipping all the voltage adjustments and found that this works even without additional capacitors (I still have 10uF and 0.1uF on the power rails, but not directly on the Module). I retested these panels at low power and was able to get out 130 feet into the yard including through the walls of the house. Maybe later I'll walk down the street and see how far I can go, but I can see that the lowest power setting works for me.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
