Review on ๐ŸŽต Kenwood KDC-X304 eXcelon CD Receiver: The Ultimate Bluetooth-Enabled Audio System by Jen Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Significant improvement over stock. Not intuitive.

This is in my 2005 Ford Ranger with four Infinity Reference 6x8 speakers. The speakers lacked bass compared to the standard, but when combined with this head unit, clarity and sound were again at their peak at all levels. Great sound controls, but the interface isn't intuitive and definitely not something you can easily feel and navigate while driving. It takes 3 clicks/1 turn to go to bass settings and 5 clicks/1 turn to go to high frequencies. It wouldn't be so bad if the grip had more resistance. It is very easy to catch the smallest gust of wind and make various adjustments. In the future I will pair this with a simple n-powered all-in-one subwoofer and take advantage of all the available control options this unit offers. My niece loves the colors and I like the gloomy environment for night driving.
