Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ HATCHBOX Magic Stone PLA Filament: Enhancing Additive Manufacturing with High-Quality Products by Doug Hook

Pay attention to the appearance, but do not expect PLA performance

An interesting thing, it has a rough appearance and a matte surface. It's more brittle than regular PLA and layer-to-layer adhesion is a bit poor at 215C (increased to 220C). It also doesn't contain that much detail. I printed this as part of my lighted cube lamp and the top and bottom have a friction fit, the prongs on the bottom cannot be used with this material as they will break when trying on. And one of the parts I printed on 215 sheared off on a friction fit with the standard Pla base. Raising the temperature to 220 has helped the layers adhere so far, but I think I'll classify this material as a design with no specific mechanical limitations.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
