UPDATED: Dangerous Junk

Updated Review: After just a few months of normal use, the "mouse side" of the desk is now completely out of frame. I tried twice to tighten the screws but nothing holds. I'm going to glue this panel to the frame and hope it holds. This is not only cumbersome, but also dangerous: if the board comes off, all the screws will fall out and scatter in different directions. Because this happens while the object is being moved, it's pretty easy to step on or sit on the screw if you're not careful. (Full disclosure: I wasn't paying attention the first time and stepped on a screw.) If you score at home, that's two injuries thanks to Devil Desk (see below). I do not recommend this product to anyone. There are probably a lot better ones on Revain. Old test - Pros: - Big enough for a 17 inch gaming laptop. I have an 18" Dell All-In-One that hangs a bit over the edge, but I'm still comfortable working with it. Pretty solid construction so doesn't feel like it's going to break in half after a few seconds .Months in use - Good adjustability - it's not very balanced in bed (as other reviews have noted) but lowering the stand allows you to compensate by leaning on your feet - the stand is also high enough so that You don't have to look directly at your laptop when you're sitting on the couch Cons: - The main reason I can only give this review 3 stars My girlfriend is now calling it "Devil's Table" because she used it the first night when we had him tipped over a little he jumped up and this nice big table closed right on her finger I'll spare you the gory details but it's been a few weeks and the finger is still healing the lack of a sic Safety lock is a HUGE downside considering this device can literally cut off your finger. As other people have pointed out, it doesn't work very well in bed, but it's not that big of a deal. The "stopper" at the bottom edge of the worktop could be a bit bigger. It's fine on my friend's 13-inch MacBook, but it lacks the real "stopping power" needed to keep my gear from slipping on my giant tablet or old-school Dell Inspiron.
