UPDATE BELOW ORIGINAL REVIEW: (I'm not changing this review - just updating it.) These works. The material is a little thinner than most brands, which is a plus as the more flexible shape means the contents come loose a little more easily. They are good for ice cream and for preserving other liquids by freezing them and then transferring the contents into a plastic bag - tomato sauce, large cubes of juice, etc. The lids are made of the same material. You are a little thin. It would be better if the covers were made of stiffer plastic. And they work and don't smell. Wash naturally in soapy water before use. UPDATE: Unfortunately after a few months of use
