Review on TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router - Renewed with Two USB Ports, IPv6 and Guest Network by Amar Amar ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

I bought this device in January 2022 (because TP-Link gigabit hubs in my office work for days on end without any problems; I don’t know any problems with the TL-MR3040 portable router either). But specifically, my device failed: networks constantly "fall off": first (on the 2-3rd day) 5-GHz, then 2.4, and only then ethernet (this despite the fact that through the web interface you can see that wireless networks, ostensibly, they function, but in fact, they are not visible to devices: 10-15 devices on the network). I've already taken it in for repair twice - I'm waiting for the third time to return it to the seller back . In addition, there is no fine-tuning option (available on similar devices from other manufacturers) - bridge mode, the ability to combine a LAN port with a WAN network, etc. Here, someone before me already wrote that all the extensive capabilities of iron are leveled by poor software - I agree 100%. Conclusion: if you don’t run into a marriage (as in my case), then the device can be recommended to an unassuming user. When the price tag hits. After installing the latest firmware ( 32022.3 Build 150511 Rel.55816n), all "childhood diseases" disappeared and the router works 24/7 without any problems. Upgrading my rating from 2 to 4.

Pros
  • 2-band WiFi, support for USB devices (but not GSM modems), easy to set up
Cons
  • lack of fine tuning
