I have been looking for a heater for several months as I have found that most heating pads made in the last 10 years have passed the "just warm" stage due to their overly contentious nature " can achieve today's society. ie too many people complain that their heating pad "gets hot" and burns them. . . mainly because they lack the intelligence to properly handle something that could burn them. Be sure to read the reviews on this item. . . and when I got to the review that said "It's getting too hot" I knew it was for me. Place a damp washcloth in the microwave and heat for 1 minute. This article is about 2 clicks away from getting hot. I use it on my thumb which has developed arthritis on my writing hand. . . Put my hand inside that kid for about 2 minutes and he'll feel better. Buy it if you are responsible and really want something that generates warmth. Otherwise, head to Walgreens for some self-protection that will keep you a little warm.
