I have a climbing wall/gym at home with about 500 holes. We originally used a notched t-nut, and after tearing down the walls a second or third time to attach the nuts that came out of the wall (leaving a useless swivel mount), I decided to add three screw holders to buy. This was much better, but the threads tend to snap for some reason, which in turn causes problems. I recently replaced them with these t-nuts and they are much better. First, they're deeper, so if you use 3/4" plywood you're almost flush. In addition, they are much stronger and less likely to break. For the first time in years, both of my girls can and want to set routes.
