I absolutely LOVE these knitting needles. I have several other brands of replacement needles made of different materials. I bought these wooden travel needles as I picked up branded bamboo needles on a recent flight only to have them split on me leaving me with no needles to finish the sweater I had taken on a long flight to knit. I have used these needles on two sweaters, two shawls and a hat and have enjoyed them with no problems. I think the problem with people with interchangeable needles is that they don't tighten them properly. If you do this you shouldn't have any problems. These are just beautiful. Feels warm, seams slip easily. Suitable for smooth yarns (mohair etc.).
