For the price they work very well

I installed them on my 2011 6.5ft F-150. They are strong enough to do what you would normally do with a 1/2 ton. Bed rail clips are fine, but it's much better to drill holes and install them properly. They are too difficult to detach and move, but not strong enough to securely hold the racks where you want them. One of the great advantages of clamps is that they don't damage your truck. Well, properly tightening those clamps to prevent your posts from failing means that the base of the post will compress the plastic top of your bed rail far more noticeably than a couple of holes. If you don't have a plastic cap, it will surely ruin your paint. If you just need to turn your racks on and off frequently, I'll tell you it's a lot easier to just drill holes and screws. I have lived with both. Also, these clips are sun bleached and lost all of their black color (I'm not exaggerating here) in 1 week! Granted, that's pretty intense Nevada sun, but 1 week. Again, they work well for the price if you're not looking for looks, quality, or durability. I like that sometimes they put long stick there, kayaks. Well, that's about all they're good for. If I need a whole piece of wood or something big or heavy, I use my F450 tablet. Most of the negativity in this review is aimed at these clamps. Everything is fine at the stand itself. not the strongest and not the prettiest. But this is a universal option for small trucks. you can't expect too much.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
