Review on Variable Solenoid Camshaft Position Actuator by Marlo Schlachter

Equinox 2012. The Check Engine light came on due to an open circuit in the camshaft exhaust valve control circuit. I pulled the original actuator, cleaned it, reinstalled it and cleared the codes. There are no dice. About 5 minutes after the test drive, the check engine light came on again, same error code. All local suppliers wanted more for 1 actuator than this supplier for a pair. Knowing that this car sits more than drives; I took a risk. Let's see if you get what you pay for. We've put about 4,000 miles on a trip to Estes Park in the Colorado Rockies so far and no problems.
