Review on Woodstock D2260A Mini Mobile Base by Jignesh Shaffer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Absolutely terrible videos.

I have 6 Shop Fox Mobile Bases in my shop. The bases are great but the wheels on the fixed and swivel casters don't hold up. The wheel has a hard center and is molded from a softer material that will crack and fall off over time, making the base difficult to turn. This happened to half the reels on my machines. All 4 fail under the table saw and yes I used the Grizzly blade recommended at the time. Now I'm replacing the caster wheels on all the subframes with cast iron wheels. Not fun as each base is under the car and 16 bolts/nuts have to be removed and reinstalled to swap casters. I reached out to Grizzly support for help and was immediately put through to the NO SERVICE department. a base that comes with cast iron wheels and is the only base that can be used in my opinion. I've had wheel failures under the lightest machines (7 inch cutters). It's not about the weight, it's about bad stuff that creeps and tears under load. Absolutely terrible videos. I lifted one side of this machine with one hand to swap out the rollers. wasn't overloaded. Bad material. If you buy this base, look at that in a few years. Grizzly is not supported. Just buy a base there with steel or possibly urethane rollers.
