Depends what you use it for.

Whether a scanner is good or bad depends first of all on what you are going to use it for. I've been using it for over two weeks and I'm doing an average of 15 to 20 scans a day. I use it for 2D codes and mostly for research so I don't need high speeds but this scanner is not as fast as I would like. I think for high volume use this can be a problem. . I personally haven't been able to find a way to mute the beep, but there might be a way I'm just not aware of. So if you know a way or just don't want to mute the device, please ignore that last statement. Another problem I had was that the scanner couldn't see the QR codes on my phone screen, but I've only tried it a couple of times. The price for the currently available options seems very reasonable. The most compatible stand I could find was shipped from China and it took me quite a while to get it as it didn't fit. Please make sure there is a stand available for sale (if you need a stand!) sold separately. Overall I've really enjoyed using this scanner for scanning small batches of 2D code printed labels so far and for low volume use I would definitely recommend it.
