With the help of my neighbor and Vigor who works at Arana, I installed these struts on a hatch in the basement. After installing two others Pole sets that were either not strong enough or not long enough this pair worked. The first pair was 15" long and not strong enough, the second pair was strong enough but too short. Vigor sent the second pair for free and said I would could keep the first pair of spacers i ordered i would like to thank vigor and my neighbor for all their help the hatch now raises easily and i dont have to fiddle with the tension of the rope that connects to the pulley.
