Review on πŸ’» SilverStone PS14B-Eg Precision Series ATX & Micro-ATX Computer Case with Tempered Glass by Brandon Jaime

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a Silverstone from the past, but more than acceptable

First Impression, Light, Too Light? On closer inspection, no sharp edges can be seen. Although the case is thin, special care must be taken when handling the case. I started comparing this to a $150-200 case, that's not true, but for the price it's all the correct estimates, at least for me. I wanted USB 3.0, tempered glass, 1 bay, wired. Pros, magnetic mesh filter works, side connectors are exactly what I wanted, easy to figure out hooking up to motherboard, well labeled, includes a fan which is actually very quiet, plastic covers a nice glass panel to be careful to be, glass attaches to rubber grommets, cable management for a nice clean look when you're done, separate area for power, lots to like. Cons, no fewer tools except 3.5" drives (this can also be a plus as some tool-less designs don't work properly), expansion slots are dated, remove by bending them back and forth, not replacements, um to reinstall them if you want later, the cable management could be better, it uses zip ties and hooks around where the cables are supposed to be held, the paint is thin, I haven't scratched it but I'm not sure whether they will stand up to rough handling. Overall I'm glad it works and looks nice inside and out. I installed 2 drives - 2.5", 2 drives - 3.5", large graphics card, Blu-ray 5.25 drive, ATX motherboard, and everything went pretty easily. When I'm done, I'll have plenty of free disk space. It's a nice clean design.
