Cheap plastic resulted in a total failure during installation. When tightening one of the screws, which is only supported by a thin piece of plastic at the top, the plastic broke and the screw fell on the roof of my car, leaving a large dent in it, also chipping the paint. Getting a replacement, but I doubt my fears of suddenly breaking screws/plastics will subside. Also, they whistle at 40mph+, but it's unnoticeable in my Jeep unless the windows are rolled down. As mentioned in other reviews, it's difficult to jam the skis, although that didn't bother me. They really felt "reliable" even though I had to fix the broken part.
