Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Highly Customizable & Scratch-Proof DIYE Electric Skateboard Battery Enclosure - Advanced Electronics Protection by Jon Hill

Top case and price!

I bought this case first because of the price. But the quality really surprised me! Polypropylene is used as the body material. It seems a bit thinner and more flexible than other shells I've bought for other DIY electric skateboard builds. I mounted my electronics and battery on the circuit board differently than shown in the product image because I want to make sure there is no weight on the case. The vibrations generated when riding an electric skateboard can cause components to shift, and any weight on the chassis can cause damage. Also, when attaching the case to the board I would be careful to use wood furniture inserts and metric screws so you can easily remove the case if you need to do under the hood maintenance. To ensure the case stays in place I also used some hobby washers which keep my board looking nice. Overall I would say this case is solid and will work with many builds. However, to successfully install this on your boring I wouldn't just screw it directly into the deck. Be sure to use pilot holes, wood furniture inserts, metric screws and washers. If you take the time to build the body the way I described it will be a really nice addition to your DIY electric skateboard build.
