I like the way they work, they will be a bit longer to cover more of the handlebar, that's the only thing I found about them that got them 4 stars instead of 5. Installation was pretty easy, the instructions say you can connect it to a key activated 12v supply, you can connect it directly to the battery but fair warning if you do they will kill your battery if You forget to turn them off. They warm well under the arms, as for long term use I'll just have to wait and see. It is worth noting that the switch is very sensitive to water. After it rained I shorted both bike handlebars, put the derailleur in a covered area or upside down to keep water off my body.
