My father gave me my first pliers more than 50 years ago. If you have pliers and pliers of this type, you can do a variety of tasks with just two tools. Lineman pliers are designed for cutting wire (blade inside) and deburring a metal raceway (outside the working end) and bending wire, but they have many other uses. I've worked on projects where we shared each other's tools and I've used some cheap pliers. Cutting 4 AWG copper wire with mine is no problem. A cheap pair makes you feel like you're about to break your pliers or your arm. Then you look at the intangible blade of these pliers and see a dent. Sunex pliers have a strong, sharp blade. It cuts cleanly without requiring excessive pressure. This is a great addition to my collection of tools.
