Review on Stant 10511 Locking Fuel Cap by Dwayne Pore

I bought it hoping to fix an evaporator leak that was causing the check engine light to come on. The breakaway test was coming up and I tried and failed miserably. Not only did the check engine light come on again, preventing me from passing the emissions test, the check engine light came on almost immediately. The local shop charged me $115 to diagnose an evaporator leak. Just as I was about to run the diagnostics, I tried my luck with the gas cap one last time. I tried the original black ACDelco GT283 GM gas cap and it worked like clockwork. I used the Obii tool to make sure it closed the leak and it did. So the point of this review is that anyone looking to fix an evaporator leak should NOT try this product, order the genuine ACDelco GT283 GM black gas cap instead and save money!
