For the skateboarding community I'm 39 years old and have been riding intermittently since I was 17 Skaters use my palms to break my fall so I bought these and they protect your palms but they don't stick so they can protect your palms if you fall but they also stretch your shoulders a lot or if you fall and try to use both hands to not fall on your chest and you to knock your breath out because they DO NOT STICK, they slip, so if you always hurt your palms when you fall, do NOT buy them there, not intended for that purpose, but they are still a good product if you use it to bombard hills, but definitely not to stop a fall
