This hub is good but needs an update. I have experience with electronics so I was able to get it working to my satisfaction. However, if a person wants a device that's up to date right away, buy a more expensive hub that's likely to be of higher quality. USB connectors are very loose and don't hold onto anything. I was able to adjust each slot with a paperclip and bend the metal fasteners inward to hold them. Also, the top flat surface is very loose, so if you press too hard on the top, it will move inward. In doing so, I removed the backing and applied a few drops of hot glue to the underside of the top plate, rendering it immobile after assembly. Obviously these tips are mostly for people stuck in this hub, but the rest of you should know what you're getting into.
