Defective on first use. Ruined our yearly addition of a new Christmas show.

I have bought many of these timers. This one "seemed" to work when I installed it on our new Christmas display case. But apparently it started turning on and off on the first night (without our knowledge). Noticing that the display wouldn't light up the next night, we heard the timer click and found a looping issue when testing with a handheld flashlight. But the new display is now burned out, probably due to this constant cycle, so we're returning this item and trying to fix this year's new display. Ruined our annual new product launch.
