I could probably just recalibrate/reconnect the Joy-Con, but a reboot wouldn't hurt. My replacement has been in place for almost 2 months and everything is great and my son is a little smaller and works great! Heed all other warnings, when disassembling the Joy-Con, being careful with the screws (unscrew and screw back), if your kit doesn't have flat tweezers (these should be, but mine was) then I would find it because I don't want to try messing around with tiny cables without them.
