Review on Tobin Counted Stitch Madonna Inches by Dawn Fischer

I was so happy to get this set at such a great price! The design is beautiful and easy to read. I have a problem with this embroidery floss kit. I don't know where they got it from, but it's terrible. I separated all the blues and reds to rinse and dry before sewing in case they bleed. Then I started with a light color. I immediately saw that this floss is thinner and much easier to wash than the DMC floss I normally use. After the red and blue thread dried I noticed that some of the colors especially number 150, the darkest pink, bled a bit. I came back, washed and repeated 5 times in 2 days and was still bleeding. I decided that given the issues and the quality of this thread, I was better off buying the DMC versions. Of course, the washed new DMC filament didn't run and wasn't as prone to fraying. The only reason I give this product 3 stars is the time wasted solving flossing issues. The design is excellent. So if you don't mind adding $10 to the cost of this kit to buy DMC thread to replace the ones they provide, then you'll be pretty happy with this kit.
