Bought as a spotting scope for hunting and use on a sailboat to observe objects from a distance. The optical quality of the sight is not bad, the picture is clearer. The rest of the scope was poorly made however, the knob that tightened the scope so it wouldn't bounce never worked, you couldn't stop the scope from falling off when you unscrewed it. I was also disappointed that when mine arrived they asked Miss to put an eyepiece cap on it and he bent the rubber eyecup so that it flipped over and obstructed your view when trying to look through the scope. Also, you can't put a scope in a case without removing the tripod, so I have no idea why they just had to shorten the legs a few inches and everything fit without having to take it apart every time you use it. That's ridiculous. So obviously I wouldn't recommend this scope to any friend.
