Design flaws: Hardware

This lock has design flaws. First, the outer handle is thick and large and comfortable to grip, while the inner handle is smaller and thinner. I don't have big hands and yet it's uncomfortable and tiring every time I have to turn it. Why don't they make the inside handle the same comfortable size if hand comfort is supposed to be the number one priority here next to me? Second, the outer round plate has two tiny "teeth" on the back I think which is why they bite into the door and prevent it from turning. However, you cannot tighten the screws so much that you can bite through them, because you are working with the screwdriver at an angle and you only risk destroying the screw heads. As a result, a gap remains between the door and the panel, from which rainwater seeps into the doorway, where it can rot. You can seal the crack with clear caulk, but now it's a hassle and messy to remove if you need to replace the lock in the future. Alternatively, you'll need to drill two tiny holes for the teeth, which I did, but again, that's an extra hassle.
