Bike rack clamp won't tighten

Bike rack arrived on time, well designed and easy to fit. I've used it to adjust and swap out parts on two old 35 pound steel frame bikes. As others have mentioned it wasn't very durable so I tried to hold the bike when doing heavy work but it seemed fine. My only complaint is that the M8 1.25 bolt that attaches the bike to the frame slips in the nut so I couldn't tighten the clamp. I contacted Sportneer through the Revain website, reported the problem, and asked for a replacement bolt and nut. We went back and forth and in the end they said the factory said it was a design flaw but couldn't send me replacement parts (made in China blah blah) but offered to pay for return shipping for the entire product and let me know refund money. Instead, I ordered an M8-1.25 304 stainless steel threaded rod and modified it to replace the defective one. I drilled out the rivet holding the plastic cam arm to the faulty bolt and replaced it with a #8-32 machine screw, washers, and nut from a hardware store. Sportneer gave me a $15 rebate for my troubles paid for my new gear. Nice from you.
