I used to use Category 5E/6 Ethernet cable, so I suggested this route to avoid RF signal issues and possible audio delays. Works perfectly. If you want to minimize holes, you can install an optical cable and attach the ends after routing the cable. Otherwise, use an Ethernet cable long enough for your work and don't fiddle with connectors.
